In 2011, SharePoint 2010 will be the life cycle of the product is responsible for the teenager. Childhood is over. It is no longer that beautiful baby, or that cute guy. Now it was obvious pimples and issues that might reveal just one year the implementation of the real world. It is also the unexpected strength and add friends. And this year, the parents kicked out of the house by Microsoft, the team prepares for SharePoint vNext. So, what is expected of those awkward teen with SharePoint 2010? Let's look at the crystal ball.

Increased Penetration and Adoption

There is no doubt that SharePoint 2010 tsunami is vague SharePoint 2007 look small. While the adoption of enterprise SharePoint 2007 and 2010 is already impressive, many organizations in neutral in their SharePoint implementations in recent years, tight budgets. Almost everywhere, I mean organizations, large and small talk about big spending and spending in several major areas in computer science in 2011. SharePoint is becoming a benefactor of these huge costs.

And these organizations have SharePoint, mostly just begun to harness the power of the product. For these organizations, expand the scope of SharePoint within these organizations in areas not yet implemented. Colligo A recent survey found that the most popular applications on SharePoint, so far, include collaboration, document management, project management and enterprise content management. And the investigation revealed that, although functions such as IT, project management and professional services tend in time to SharePoint first, other functions, including manufacturing and, surprisingly, the funds tend to lag behind. We will see this change, with several organizations, including the ability to apply Business Intelligence (BI) and composite applications, which in many cases the hand in finance, ERP, and executive functions.

Cloud on the Horizon

2011 will be a make-it-or-nothing for a year for Microsoft SharePoint hosted services, Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOs), both dedicated and shared (BPOS-S) versions based on SharePoint 2010. His first album in early 2011 and will be a revolution against the current 2007-based versions.

Technically, I am sure that Microsoft is learning a lot of lessons in scalability and security, particularly in the new service application architecture, and it is interesting to see how a lot of features of SharePoint 2010 can be delivered BPOS-S. I am also sure that the SharePoint vNext will benefit enormously from these lessons.

Many Microsoft employees have report cards that BPOS penetration plays an important role. Fortunately, the market is also prepared to examine the tag BPOS, Blue, and other cloud solutions. But I think the passage of the cloud will be very slow. People are curious, but not sure. 2011 will be a dip your toe in the water year. The safety and profitability will be in focus

As organizations that are tested for the clouds, it will revise its understanding of what the cloud can and can not provide, and how the cloud, the private cloud and stood firm in SharePoint can be difficult to handle any coherence and effectiveness. 2011 will be the beginning of a good race for companies offering management solutions that provide a unified view of the clouds and local resources and solutions that help users work seamlessly across devices and locations.

Storage Turned on Its Head
increased utilization and use of traditional storage push content to SharePoint Server SQL limit. In 2011, people flocked to remote BLOB storage (RBS) to reduce the load on the SQL server, after all, are designed for transaction processing, not for long term storage of documents. Therefore, content that has traditionally been stored in SharePoint SQL now stored on file servers, SharePoint, what comes around, turn around

There are solutions to third-party ISVs that predispose AvePoint as file shares, document collections, with all the bells and whistles that SharePoint offers. These solutions enable companies to switch to faster SharePoint collaboration. Thus, any content that has traditionally been imported in SharePoint can be left where it was revealed and, if it was SharePoint.

In addition, organizations continue to move towards a SharePoint as a gateway to various data repositories within the organization. I found that SharePoint 2007's business intelligence tools have been the launching pad for a pool without water. This story has been changed and organizations that want SharePoint to provide insights and information on the surface of old systems.

Organizations are slowly realizing the invaluable data-networking company, that is, social networking, you can open. But it does not happen fast enough. With other priorities, and general malaise on the safety and respect, I'm afraid that 2011 is another year of SharePoint social networking. Which is too bad. I hope I'am wrong, and I'am working hard evangelizing SharePoint social harm you!

SharePoint VNext
SharePoint 2010 can only be in its adolescence in the maturity of the product life cycle, but Microsoft is already planning the birth of the next version of SharePoint.a I’ll go out limb right now and dub SharePoint 2012. Why 2012? Since 2012, the end of the connotation that the world is not as strong as another battle with the number 13. Make sure you connect to Microsoft in 2011, observations have a more immediate effect, while the product is being developed as a result. They care and are listening.

I'am not going to start planning the 2012 (the year or the product) at this stage, but I must say I would be surprised if there is no native solution for geographically distributed farms, including farms hybrids that are both on site and the cloud. I'm talking about replication of the content here is late.
